About Us

Corbeau Wine Bar is a unique wine bar that is family owned and operated by Elizabeth and Mary Martin, and their husbands Mark and John Martin. Corbeau will be the first and only wine bar in the state of Alabama to have self-serve wine on tap for all our patrons to enjoy. We wanted to bring an exciting and fresh way for everyone to enjoy their wine, and maybe even find a new favorite! Our motto is “Drink wine with joy!”, and that is exactly what we hope to bring to our outstanding community. 

Mary and Elizabeth have wanted to start a business together for some time, and threw around several ideas before settling on a wine bar. Wine has always been a favorite pastime for Mary and Elizabeth. They love learning about wine and hosting wine tastings and food pairings, so they decided to share their love with their hometown. Once that was settled, it came time to figure out a name for this business these sisters share together. After many, many ideas they settled on Corbeau Wine Bar for the meaning behind the name. Mary and Elizabeth’s maiden name is Crow. The french word for crow is corbeau, and as they say in France… voila! Corbeau Wine Bar was born!

Corbeau will serve some great wine, but we also have an awesome small plates menu. Think full charcuterie boards, and delicious flatbreads and paninis. To make this part of our vision come to life, Corbeau has brought on another partner, Dean Maio. Dean has extensive knowledge and experience in the kitchen, both cooking and operations, and will be serving up great dishes to pair with your wine!
